Grand Final Season 56

Ash is a member of Pendarves Young Farmers and heads up the volunteer team behind the FMG Young Farmer of the Year Grand Final for Season 55.

"We're very honoured to be hosting Season 55 FMG Young Farmer of the Year Grand Final in Timaru. It’s a great way to showcase the Aorangi Region and all the best parts we have to offer! Mid and South Canterbury are a large part of the Agricultural Industry in New Zealand so being able to host in the area is a great way to get locals involved and put our own twist on things."

What are you most looking forward to at the Grand Final? 

I am most excited for practical day to see everyone out on site doing their thing in the modules, head-to-head and agri sports. We have some great challenges in store for contestants to really test their practical farming skills while being an ambassador for their given regions.

Tell us about your organising Committee

We have an amazing organising committee this year. Everyone is enthusiastic and really involved in Young Farmers and they all have a passion for Contest. Everyone is working hard in their delegated roles and getting it done! We have four past FMG Young Farmer of the Year Grand Finalists helping out which has been great for insight on new ideas and to help make Season 55 the best year yet!
