Our host Rous McCulloch is an NZYF Alumni, part-time farmer, part-time fisherman, and full-time cricketer, based in Glenavy.

Previously a member of Glenavy Young Farmers and the Chair of the Aorangi Young Farmers region, Rous has got plenty of banter and has got a great future in the art of podcasting!

Episode 1: The Iconic Event

Life is full of big decisions! In this episode, Rous talks to Lincoln Young Farmers member Ngapera Parata about making that post-school decision. He also catches up with Morrinsville Ngarua member, Robin Buser, about making a career change from marketing to farming.

Episode 4: The Big Move

This week we welcome Sofie Adelaar from Morrinsville-Ngarua Young Farmers and Charlie Young from Lincoln Young Farmers.

Originally from the Netherlands, Sofie came to NZ just before the Covid Lockdown. She ended up in Morrinsville, joined the local Young Farmers club, and the rest is history!

Charlie is an Aussie, but don't hold that against him! He decided to make the move to Lincoln University, and has been making the most of his time in NZ – even seeing a dairy cow for the first time!

Episode 5: The Farmers

NZ Young Farmers members aren't all working on-farm, but there are of course a few who do!

This week Rous chats with Tom Adkins, based in the Hakataramea Valley and Victoria Baker, based down in Te Anau, about the farming hustle and how they use Young Farmers to get off-farm and get to know the locals.
